NVE Power commenced their comprehensive power study in February 2025, completed the analysis in September 2025, and issued the Discovery package to Hopewell in October 2025. NV Energy will require the construction of a new 'Navigator' 230/12 kV. Substation with redundant service capabilities to support this large-scale power requirement, including new 230 kV transmission lines connecting to the regional grid through HGIII and Sand Dune facilities. With full power delivery projected for 2029-2030, the comprehensive infrastructure buildout includes dedicated customer owned substation facilities sharing the Navigator. Substation perimeter, advanced telecommunications systems with OPGW fiber optic cables, and full environmental compliance measures. The facility will be supported by approximately 432 MW of new thermal generation at Silverhawk. Substation and 432 MW of solar generation at Scorpion PV Solar to meet Nevada's Renewable Portfolio Standard requirements, with both generation sources required as contingent facilities for full load delivery.
